Abstract

La presente invención es una modificación de los equipos usuales de velocimetría por imágenes de partículas (Particle Image Velocimetry o PIV). Esta modificación consiste en el uso combinado de correlación directa simétrica y compensación de la deformación patrón de partículas, evitando la inestabilidad que puede desarrollarse en dicha asociación. El gráfico adjunto presenta un ejemplo de dicha inestabilidad. Las ventajas de este velocímetro de PIV son la reducción de los errores asociados a los bordes de la ventana de interrogación y a la presencia de gradientes en el campo de desplazamientos. Las posibilidades de aplicación de este velocímetro abarca la totalidad de campos en los que se emplea el PIV usualmente (como pueden ser el aeronáutico, naval, medio ambiente, ingeniería civil y mecánica, industria química, etc.)The present invention is a modification of the usual speedometer equipment for particle images (Particle Image Velocimetry or PIV).
