Abstract
La presente invención es una modificación de los equipos usuales de velocimetría por imágenes de partículas (Particle Image Velocimetry o PIV). Esta modificación consiste en el uso combinado de correlación directa simétrica y compensación de la deformación patrón de partículas, evitando la inestabilidad que puede desarrollarse en dicha asociación. El gráfico adjunto presenta un ejemplo de dicha inestabilidad. Las ventajas de este velocímetro de PIV son la reducción de los errores asociados a los bordes de la ventana de interrogación y a la presencia de gradientes en el campo de desplazamientos. Las posibilidades de aplicación de este velocímetro abarca la totalidad de campos en los que se emplea el PIV usualmente (como pueden ser el aeronáutico, naval, medio ambiente, ingeniería civil y mecánica, industria química, etc.)The present invention is a modification of the usual speedometer equipment for particle images (Particle Image Velocimetry or PIV). This modification consists of the combined use of symmetric direct correlation and compensation of the standard deformation of particles, avoiding the instability that can develop in said association. The attached graphic presents an example of such instability. The advantages of this PIV speedometer are the reduction of errors associated with the edges of the interrogation window and the presence of gradients in the displacement field. The application possibilities of this speedometer cover all the fields in which the IVP is usually used (such as aeronautics, naval, environment, civil and mechanical engineering, chemical industry, etc.)
