Abstract

El método para la detección de proteína PrP en una muestra biológica extraída de un animal vivo comprende extraer una muestra de tejido ocular de dicho animal y ensayar la presencia de proteína PrP en dicha muestra. El método permite desarrollar un test in vivo y detectar la enfermedad en sus estadios más tempranos lo que permite prevenir la entrada en la cadena alimenticia para el consumo humano de animales infectados y sacrificar los animales infectados.
