Abstract

Un proceso para tratar partículas para hacer que sean hidrófobas, comprendiendo el proceso las etapas de: (i) poner en contacto las partículas con un compuesto de **Fórmula** en la que: al menos uno de R1, R2 y R3 es hidroxilo o un grupo hidrolizable en el enlace Si-R; R4 es un grupo divalente que es resistente a la hidrólisis en el enlace Si-R4; Q es H2N-, -H2N.HA o X-, donde: HA es un ácido mineral o un ácido orgánico y X es un anión; y (ii) si Q es un resto de sal -NH2HA, generar la base libre del resto amina por la adición de una cantidad estequiométrica de base fuerte para que reaccione de una forma sustancialmente completa con el resto HA ácido; (iii) poner en contacto las partículas con una cantidad sustancialmente equimolar.
