DURANTE CADA DETECCION SE ESTABLECEN VARIOS PUNTOS DE MEDICION Y LA VELOCIDAD SE CALCULA DETERMINANDO LA DIFERENCIA DE TIEMPO ENTRE LOS PUNTOS DE MEDICION CORRESPONDIENTES DE LAS DETECCIONES SUCESIVAS. SE GENERA UNA SEÑAL DE DETECCION EN FORMA DE ONDA CADA VEZ QUE EL VEHICULO PASA Y LOS PUNTOS DE MEDICION ESTAN FORMADOS POR PUNTOS CARACTERISTICOS CORRESPONDIENTES DE LA SEÑAL EN FORMA DE ONDA. DE ESTA FORMA PUEDE OBTENERSE UNA MEDIDA EXACTA DE LA VELOCIDAD CON MEDIOS SIMPLES. LA INVENCION SE REFIERE ADEMAS A UN APARATO PARA APLICAR ESTE METODO.
