Abstract
Un procedimiento de fabricación de ácidos carboxílicos ramificados a partir de olefinas ramificadas mediante la reacción con monóxido de carbono y un catalizador ácido sólido, caracterizado porque dicha olefina ramificada, o uno de sus precursores, se hace reaccionar en un reactor de mezcla continua a contracorriente, con suministro continuo de monóxido de carbono y agua, mientras que se elimina en continuo un efluente que contiene ácido carboxílico ramificado, olefina sin convertir, monóxido de carbono y agua, en presencia de un intercambiador de iones ácido que tiene suficientes grupos ácidos para suministrar los protones requeridos para la conversión de dicha olefina o uno de sus precursores, y el monóxido de carbono en ácidos carboxílicos ramificados.
