Abstract
Se trata de un sistema de detección automática de incidentes de tráfico en entornos urbanos, particularmente aglomeraciones anormales de vehículos en las calles que confluyen en un cruce, y en función de esa información permite optimizar la prioridad y el tiempo de la secuencia de funcionamiento de los semáforos que lo controlan con el objeto de normalizar en el menor tiempo posible el tráfico en dicho cruce. Se compone básicamente de un Sistema (8) Central de Procesamiento de Datos SCP, de una Interfase (17) de Comunicaciones IC, de un Procesador (6) de Incidentes y Colas PIC, módulos (7) de Procesamiento de Imágenes de Video PIV, un módulo (18) para obtención del estado de los semáforos MES, Cámaras (5) de Televisión CCTV, y regulador (3) de estado de los semáforos.
