Abstract

Iluminación de interiores con fibra óptica utilizando la luz solar. Es un método para iluminar recintos interiores sin ventanas, portales, escaleras de edificios, sótanos o cualquier lugar que necesite luz artificial de forma habitual. Este sistema permite ahorro de energía, además de proporcionar una luz fría y si se quiere puntual. Básicamente se trata de concentrar los rayos solares en una superficie pequeña adaptada al diámetro del haz de fibras ópticas a utilizar, es posible usar lentes convergentes de vidrio o plástico, lentes de Fresnel, o espejos parabólicos. Para la concentración continuada hay que obtener una orientación permanente hacia el sol o un sistema que permita la concentración de luz independiente de la posición solar.
