Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento y a un dispositivo de uso personal para realizar una dosimetría en tiempo real del polvo respirable a fin de evaluar los riesgos de exposición al polvo lo que permite preservar la saluda respiratoria de los trabajadores. Una realización utiliza una bomba parta la obtención de muestras que funciona con un gas con una baja velocidad de flujo para la medición de la presión diferencial a través de un filtro de recogida de fibras de vidrio en un tubo detector desechable (12) o un dispositivo de detección del polvo acoplado a la entrada de la bomba. El dispositivo de detección del polvo incluye un elemento tubular alargado (12) que tiene un filtro (30) situado entre los extremos próximo y distal del tubo para atrapar una cantidad de polvo. Un transductor de presión (16) en el extremo próximo (36) mide la presión del tubo de gas. La bomba extrae el flujo de base a través del dispositivo de detección del polvo desde el extremo distal (38) hasta el extremopróximo (36) atrapando el polvo en el filtro (30). Un diferencial de presión a través del filtro (30) que se determina utilizando la presión del flujo de gas en el extremo próximo (36) del elemento tubular y que se mira mediante el transductor de presión (16), es indicativo de la acumulación de polvo atrapado en el filtro (30).
