Abstract

Hydrostatic motor. The system emulates the functioning of an internal combustion engine. The polished metallic cylinder of the latter is replaced here by a reservoir (29), the piston becomes a float (21), the valves are huge floodgates that allow thousands of litres of water to enter or be drained out in a matter of seconds, and that water is the motive force that takes the place of the power of the traditional internal combustion engine. When the entrance floodgates (11) are opened, the float, which is at rest, receives an upward impulse, due to the principle of Archimedes. When it rises the stipulated amount, those floodgates (11) close, opening the drainage floodgates (12). Without the support of the liquid, the float falls due to the force of gravity until it reaches the point where it was at the beginning, and at that moment the water inlet opens again, repeating the process. The fitting (22) transmits the travel of the float so as to take advantage of its energy.
