Abstract
Procedimiento por el que un zapato infantil o deportivo se recubre de metal transformándose en objeto decorativo o trofeo, caracterizado por someter al calzado normal hecho de cuero, plástico, charol, imitación de piel, lana, caucho o silicona a un procedimiento por el que después de aplicársele un recubrimiento de un producto compuesto de polvos metálicos y barnices, siendo los metales que componen los polvos buenos conductores de la electricidad y mezclados en tal proporción que confieran al zapato la suficiente conductividad como para someterse con éxito a la electrólisis, se introduce el zapato en un baño electrolítico, eligiéndose a voluntad un acabado de cobre, latón, bronce, estaño, plata u oro, pudiendo someterse el acabado a los procedimientos de oxidación y recubriéndose por último de un barniz protector de metales para conservar su aspecto inicial.
