Abstract
A manual or central locking motor vehicle door lock comprising a theft protection device has a quadrupole epicyclic gear 7, which comprises a sun wheel 8, a planet wheel carrier 9, planet wheels 10 and a ring gear 11 with which the planet wheels 10 mesh. A locking power take-off 13 and a theft protection power take-off 14 are provided. The theft protection power take-off 14 is derived from the ring gear 11 and comprises a toothed wheel segment 19 which is disposed on a theft protection spindle 20 running parallel to the spindle of the sun wheel 8 for operating a theft protection lever 21 and which can be entrained to and fro by an external toothed ring 22 of the ring gear 11 between the "theft protection on" and "theft protection off" polarisation positions according to the direction of rotation of the electric motor (12), fig 5. The theft protection lever 21 is joined to the theft protection spindle 20 via a non-positive connection (34), figs 1 and 6-10. The theft protection lever 21 can be moved by means of the quadrupole epicyclic gear 7, by the theft protection power takeoff 14 and via the non-positive connection (34), fig 1, into the "theft protection on" and "theft protection off" mechanical polarisation positions. In addition, the theft protection lever 21 can be moved via the locking lever (4), fig 1, of the motor vehicle door lock, with the non-positive connection (34) being overcome and the quadrupole epicyclic gear 7 and its drive being bypassed, from the "theft protection on" polarisation position into the "theft protection off" polarisation position. The non-positive connection (34) may be by means of a deformable rib (36), fig 9 engaging a groove (35), figs 8,10 in the spindle 20 in the manner of a catch.
