Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting apparatus which comprises a support (2) on which are placed opaque and obscure means (3) for masking one of the bases of the plate (4) which is illuminated by means of light rays which are deflected by reflection means (5) and which come from a light source (1). The apparatus is provided with a video camera (6) which captures the image in order to make the counting in a conventional way. It is characterized in that it comprises means for varying the relative position between the reflector means (5) and plate (4) so that the illumination can be adapted to the various types of means used to cultivate the bacteria. The reflector means are determined by an annular body (5) of which the reflection surface is inclined so that the reflected light has a very low vertical component.
