Abstract

Procedimiento de obtención de un substrato vegetal, que comprende: utilizar 50% en peso de corteza de pino, procedente del proceso de descortezado, triturada en un molino preferentemente de martillos. La corteza triturada, a un tamaño entre 3 y 9 milímetros, se la somete a sucesivos riegos para aumentar su humedad, utilizándose para ello 18% en peso de agua. La corteza triturada y humedecida se mezcla con 2% en peso de urea y el producto resultante se somete a un proceso de compostaje aeróbio controlado durante dos a seis meses. La corteza compostada se criba y se mezcla con 10% en peso de fibra de madera, triturada entre 3 y 5 milímetros previamente, y con 15% en peso de turba de madera molida a un tamaño entre 1 y 3 milímetros obteniéndose una estructura esponjosa con capacidad de aireación y de retención de agua. A esta mezcla se le incorpora 5% en peso de abono orgánico.
