Abstract

The thermal camouflage has a casing (2) formed of an inflatable hood with flexible walls (3) to enclose the engine. The hood is made of a material which is a poor conductor of heat. At least a portion of the internal surface which is situated with respect to the engine, at the side where the radiation emitted by it is at least attenuated, is provided with a flexible reflector (4) to reflect, at least partially, the infra-red radiation from the source.
