Abstract

Process in which M means a cation which stabilizes the valency structure equal to or higher than mercury, characterized by the following steps: a) preparation of a homogeneous mixture of multiphase precursor oxides b) vapour-solid reaction giving rise to the superconducting phase within a matrix and c) oxygenation between 250degreeC and 350degreeC of the powders and components obtained in step b), in a stream of oxygen at normal pressure for several days. These ceramic materials are currently of great interest as high-critical-temperature and high-critical-current superconductors and can be used in various electrical engineering systems.
