PARA ESTABLECER ENLACES DE COMUNICACION BIDIRECCIONAL ENTRE LOS PROCESOS EN UN SISTEMA DE OPERACION DISTRIBUIDA. LOS PROCESOS ESTAN PROVISTOS DE ESTACIONES A TRAVES DE LAS CUALES SE REALIZA LA COMUNICACION ENTRE LOS PROCESOS. LOS PROCESOS Y LAS ESTACIONES HACEN POSIBLE QUE EL SISTEMA OPERATIVO GUARDE UN CONTROL SOBRE LOS PROCESOS QUE TIENEN ENLACES Y PARA UTILIZAR ESTOS ENLACES TAMBIEN SI EL PROCESO PER SE ES FINALIZADO, ASI COMO DESCUBRIR UN ERROR EN EL PROCESO Y CANCELARLO. PARA PERMITIR AL SISTEMA OPERATIVO LA CAPACIDAD DE TRANSMITIR, A TRAVES DE LOS ENLACES, INFORMACION REFERENTE AL PROCESO O DE DESCONEXION, Y ASI PODER PROPAGAR ESTA INFORMACION A TRAVES DE TODA LA CADENA DE PROCESOS ENLAZADOS, Y PARA ENVIAR ESTA INFORMACION A APLICACIONES EJECUTADAS EN LOS PROCESOS ENLAZADOS PARA PERMITIR QUE ESTOS TOMEN MEDIDAS ESPECIFICAS DE APLICACION; SE UTILIZA UN CODIGO, AL CUAL SE RECURRE EN LA ABSORCION DEL ENLACE Y EN LOS ERRORES DE COMUNICACION. LA FUNCION DE ESTE CODIGO INCLUYE LA CANCELACION DE UN PROCESO ERRONEO Y EL ENVIO DEL ERROR A UN CODIGO DE MANEJO DE ERRORES.
