Abstract

The invention relates to a curved track (10) of length L, the rails of which follow a curved path such that end sections (16, 18) with changing radii of curvature extend from the main rail (12) and branch rail (14) respectively, starting with a radius of curvature r (r } INFINITY ) and ending with a final radius R = constant. The end sections run into an intermediate section of radius R. In order to standardise curved tracks independently of their lengths, it is proposed that the intermediate section (20) should be of a length equal or approximately equal to that of each end section (16, 18).
