Abstract

The device fastens a sun-visor to a crossmember on a vehicle, which has an opening whose edge defines a female element which is suitable for a pedestal (2) on a male element. The latter has a bearing (8) to hold a bent supporting arm for the visor. The pedestal has a gap (9) which extends rearwards from the region of the bearing, when the elements are fastened together by a hook (10), which is aligned longitudinally towards the vehicle interior. The hook spans at least the dimensions of the gap and the bearing, and the opposite side of the gap from the hook is bounded by an elastic tab (11). The latter has ratchet equipment (20) on its end, which engages with a part of the edge of the opening which lies opposite that part which is held by the hook. The tab also has at least one stop element (17).
