Abstract

Sistema sensor de fibra óptica para medida y/o monitorizado de aceleraciones o desplazamientos biaxiales. El sistema consiste en una cabeza transductora (1), un canal óptico (2) y una unidad de generación, detección de luz, y de tratamiento y procesado de la señal (3). Una vibración mecánica en la cabeza tranductora es reproducida fielmente (en el dominio eléctrico) en la salida del sistema (3{sub,S1 ). Aceleraciones o desplazamientos en la cabeza transductora, generan desplazamientos en un tallo de fibra óptica y modulan la intensidad luminosa que colectada diferencialmente por cuatro/dos fibras ópticas, se envía a través del canal óptico a la unidad de detección, acondicionamiento y procesado de señal, la cual reproduce en su salida la aceleración o el desplazamiento en la cabeza transductora. El sistema es escalable, pudiendo medir simultáneamente vibraciones en puntos diferentes. El sistema, sin despreciar otras aplicaciones, mide aceleraciones de baja y muy baja frecuencia ondesplazamientos en instalaciones, estructuras, equipos y componentes, trabajando eficientemente en ambientes eléctrica, magnética o electromagnéticamente contaminados, pudiendo, con diseños adecuados, trabajar en rangos muy variados de frecuencias.Fiber optic sensor system for measurement and / or monitoring of biaxial accelerations or displacements.
