ACELERACIONES O DESPLAZAMIENTOS EN LA CABEZA TRANSDUCTORA, GENERAN DESPLAZAMIENTOS EN UN TALLO DE FIBRA OPTICA Y MODULAN LA INTENSIDAD LUMINOSA QUE, COLECTADA DIFERENCIALMENTE POR DOS FIBRAS OPTICAS, SE ENVIA A TRAVES DEL CANAL OPTICO A LA UNIDAD DE DETECCION, ACONDICIONAMIENTO Y PROCESADO DE SEÑAL, LA CUAL REPRODUCE EN SU SALIDA LA ACELERACION O EL DESPLAZAMIENTO EN LA CABEZA TRANSDUCTORA. EL SISTEMA ES ESCALABLE, PUDIENDO MEDIR SIMULTANEAMENTE VIBRACIONES EN PUNTOS DIFERENTES. EL SISTEMA, SIN DESPRECIAR OTRAS APLICACIONES, MIDE ACELERACIONES DE BAJA Y MUY BAJA FRECUENCIA O DESPLAZAMIENTOS EN INSTALACIONES, ESTRUCTURAS, EQUIPOS Y COMPONENTES, TRABAJANDO EFICIENTEMENTE EN AMBIENTE ELECTRICA, MAGNETICA O ELECTROMAGNETICAMENTE CONTAMINADOS.THE SYSTEM CONSISTS OF A TRANSDUCER HEAD (1), AN OPTICAL CHANNEL (2) AND A UNIT OF GENERATION, LIGHT DETECTION AND TREATMENT AND SIGNAL PROCESSING (3). A MECHANICAL VIBRATION IN THE TRANSDUCER HEAD IS FAITHFULLY REPRODUCED (IN THE ELECTRIC DOMAIN) AT THE OUTPUT OF THE 3S1 SYSTEM. ACCELERATIONS OR DISPLACEMENTS IN THE TRANSDUCER HEAD, GENERATE DISPLACEMENTS IN A STEM OF OPTICAL FIBER AND MODULATE THE LIGHT INTENSITY WHICH, DIFFERENTIALLY COLLECTED BY TWO OPTICAL FIBERS, IS SENT THROUGH THE OPTIONAL CHANNEL TO THE DETECTION UNIT WHICH REPRODUCES ACCELERATION OR DISPLACEMENT IN THE TRANSDUCER HEAD ON ITS OUTPUT. THE SYSTEM IS SCALABLE, BEING ABLE TO MEASURE VIBRATIONS SIMULTANEOUSLY AT DIFFERENT POINTS. THE SYSTEM, WITHOUT DISREGARDING OTHER APPLICATIONS, MEASURES LOW AND VERY LOW FREQUENCY ACCELERATIONS OR DISPLACEMENTS IN FACILITIES, STRUCTURES, EQUIPMENT AND COMPONENTS, WORKING EFFICIENTLY IN ELECTRICAL, MAGNETIC OR ELECTROMAGNETICALLY CONTAMINATED ENVIRONMENTS.
