Abstract
Equipment and process for performing the electrolytic extraction of dissolved metals in an electrolytic cell. The equipment comprises at least one cathode and at least one anode which are soluble in an electrolytic solution, which is characterised in that it also comprises at least one magnet located outside the said electrolytic cell on the side corresponding to the said cathode. The process comprises delivering a direct current to the electrolytic cell and bringing a magnet located outside to within a distance "d" of the cathode, depositing the dissolved metal on the said cathode. When the diffusion anode is hydrogen, the process comprises an additional stage, after the current has been delivered, which comprises delivering hydrogen gas through the said anode. This achieves less energy consumption during the electrical extraction of dissolved metals in addition to improving the quality of deposition as a result of the presence of the magnetic field.
