Abstract

The process comprises, in a first phase, an enzymatic treatment of the leaves of the aromatic plant which is the object of the extraction and an entrainment operation with steam to eliminate part of the essential oil, then obtaining a raw extract by means of solid-liquid extraction using organic solvents, and finally a phase involving purification of the extract with elimination of the residual essential oil by means of extraction with CO2 under supercritical conditions.
