Abstract

Improvements to patent of invention no. 9102845 for: "Process for manufacturing solid combustible material from solid urban wastes and/or industrial wastes which resemble urban and/or agricultural wastes", in which process the wastes which are free of contaminating metal materials and glass are ground in order to obtain a granulated or raw product which contains quicklime combined with original water forming calcium hydroxide which is as little carbonated as possible in the course of the process. These improvements consist of performing the drying stage with air contaminated with CO2 originating from the exhaust gases of a diesel engine and also for those wastes which contain a moisture content of less than 55% on entering the process the addition of water vapour is omitted, as a result of which the residence time for the wastes within the drier must be not less than 25 minutes and in addition to this the temperatures of the hot air at the inlet and outlet of the drier must be not less than 350 degree C and 100 degree C respectively.
