LOS PEPTIDOS O POLIPEPTIDOS PUEDEN CONSTRUIRSE SOLAMENTE DE LAS PARTES INDICADAS DE LOS DOMINIOS DE LA LECTINA O DEL EGF O PUEDEN INCLUIR PARTES DE CUALQUIERA DE LOS DOMINIOS RESTANTES (SCR, TRANSMEMBRANA O CITOPLASMICOS), O LA PARTE EXTRACELULAR ENTERA, DE UNA MOLECULA DE SELECTINA GENERICA. LOS PEPTIDOS O POLIPEPTIDOS TAMBIEN PUEDEN UNIRSE A UNA PROTEINA PORTADORA (POR EJEMPLO, UNA PARTE SOLUBLE DE LA MOLECULA DE LA INMUNOGLOBULINA) PARA INCREMENTAR LA VIDA MEDIA DEL SUERO DEL AGENTE TERAPEUTICO.
