Abstract
Una estructura de material para moldes ortopédicos que, cuando es arrollado alrededor de un miembro del cuerpo y curado por exposición a la luz ultravioleta, forma una estructura inmovilizante rígida y está constituido por un textil no irritante, altamente permeable a la luz y al aire, de hilos entretejidos o entretricotados y un sistema de resina curable por la luz ultravioleta soportado por dichos hilos, siendo el citado textil de una malla con aperturas generalmente rectilíneas y distanciadas esencialmente con regularidad, cuyas dimensiones laterales están comprendidas aproximadamente entre 0, 045" y 0, 150" (1, 143 mm y 3, 810 mm) y columnas hilos de urdimbre que separan las aperturas adyacentes para proporcionar un espesor medio al textil comprendido aproximadamente entre 0, 035" y 0, 060" (0, 889 y 1, 524 mm).
