Abstract

Flowmeter of restricting element with built-in pressure microsensor. This is based on measuring the differential pressure that exists between the inlet and outlet of a flow restricting element, by means of a pressure microsensor built into this same element. The main advantage of the new meter consists of the integration of various elements into a single device, unlike conventional meters that consist of a primary element that creates the pressure difference and a secondary one that measures this pressure. As a result of the integration of the different elements, the new device is easily fitted on the piping rendering unnecessary the use of additional pipes and/or valves between the primary and secondary devices.
