Abstract
Sensor para protección de guías ópticas contra roturas por torsión, que consta de dos piezas móviles independientes conductoras de electricidad que se sujetan a una guía óptica (g) situada a lo largo de su eje de simetría mediante una abrazadera sobre la que hacen presión unos tomillos (t) y que por torsión de la guía óptica (g) por encima de un ángulo límite {(a) entran en contacto y cierran un circuito eléctrico, proporcionando de esta forma una señal que puede accionar una alarma o el dispositivo de seguridad de una máquina para proteger la guía de una torsión no deseada. El ángulo límite de torsión {(a) y por tanto la sensibilidad es prefijable mediante la separación (s) entre las piezas, el diámetro {(0) y el ángulo {(b) . Además del problema de la seguridad de los operarios en aquellas aplicaciones industriales en las que se usan guías ópticas para conducir radiación láser, se resuelve el problema económico, evitando la rotura antes de que ésta se produzca.
