SE PROPORCIONA UN METODO PARA LA PREDICCION LA PROPIEDAD DE UNA MATERIA DE ORIGEN BIOLOGICO, TALES COMO FLUIDO BIOLOGICO, QUE CONTENGA AGUA, DONDE SE PUEDE APROXIMAR LA MATERIA BIOLOGICA PARA CONTENER DOS COMPARTIMENTOS EN EL QUE UN COMPARTIMIENTO CONTIENE UNA CANTIDAD DE AGUA PROPORCIONALMENTE PEQUEÑA O GRANDE QUE EL OTRO COMPARTIMENTO QUE TIENE LA PROPIEDAD DE INTERES. EL METODO IMPLICA ESTABLECER UN CONJUNTO DE ENTRENAMIENTO EN LA ZONA CASI-INFRAROJA (NIR) CON CALIFICACION INDEPENDIENTE DE LA PROPIEDAD DE LA MATERIA UTILIZANDO TECNICAS CONOCIDAS. EL CONJUNTO DE ENTRENAMIENTO SE ANALIZA MATEMATICAMENTE DE ACUERDO CON UNA CORRELACION DESARROLLADA POR EL ANALISIS DE REGRESION POSTERIOR AL EMPLEO DE UNA TECNICA PRE-PROCESO. EL RESULTADO ES UNA ECUACION DE TRANSFORMACION MATEMATICA QUE RELACIONA CUANTITATIVAMENTE INTENSIDADES ESPECTRALES A UNAS LONGITUDES DE ONDA ESPECIFICAS A LA PROPIEDAD DE INTERES. ESTA ECUACION DE TRANSFORMACION SE PUEDE APLICAR A MUESTRAS DESCONOCIDAS PARA PREDECIR SUS PROPIEDADES, ELIMINANDO POR TANTO LA NECESIDAD DEL METODO DE REFERENCIA, EXCEPTO PARA VALIDACION Y RECALIBRACION. EL METODO PROPORCIONA LA PREDICCION RAPIDA Y PRECISA DE LA PROPIEDAD DE LA MUESTRA DESCONOCIDA, QUE PUEDE SER LA PROPIEDAD DE CONCENTRACION DE HEMATOCRITOS O HEMOGLOBINA EN LA SANGRE ENTERA ANIMAL. LA TECNICA DE PRE-PROCESO PUEDE SER LA TRANSFORMACION DEL ESPECTRO UTILIZANDO UN CALCULO DERIVADO MULTIPLE, TAL COMO LA COMPUTACION DEL SEGUNDO DERIVADO DE LOS VARIOS ESPECTROS DE MUESTRAS CONOCIDAS Y DESCONOCIDAS.
