Abstract

It consists in introducing a binder into the fibrous material, in compacting the mixture to achieve a mat of fibres and in subjecting the mat to pressing in a hot mould 4, injecting, in a timed manner, hot air at approximately 300 degree C and at a pressure of between 1 and 8 bar into the component via the mould 4, it also being possible to inject sprayed water. The mould 4 is provided with holes 7 in the thickest areas of the component and the hot-air circuit comprises preheating means 3a, an electric heater 5, means 8 for spraying water and control means for the synchronization of the process. It allows the resulting component to be more rigid and resistant to moisture (humidity).
