Abstract

CEPA BACTERIANA CAPAZ DE METABOLIZAR COLORANTES TEXTILES. LA BACTERIA FUE OBTENIDA EN UNA PLANTA PILOTO DE FANGOS ACTIVOS UTILIZADA EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE UN AGUA RESIDUAL TEXTIL Y SELECCIONADA EN MEDIO SOLIDO PARA SU POSTERIOR AISLAMIENTO E IDENTIFICACION. LAS REACCIONES BIOQUIMICAS DE IDENTIFICACION (API 20E Y PRUEBAS COMPLEMENTARIAS) INDICAN QUE LA ESPECIE SELECCIONADA ES ENTEROBACTER AEROGENES. SU APLICACION PARA LA ELIMINACION DE COLORANTES DE LAS AGUAS RESIDUALES TEXTILES PERMITE LA DEGRADACION DE ESTE TIPO DE MOLECULAS QUE PLANTEAN IMPORTANTES PROBLEMAS MEDIOAMBIENTALES.BACTERIAL STRAIN ABLE TO METABOLIZE TEXTILE DYES. THE BACTERIA WAS OBTAINED IN AN ACTIVE SLUDGE PILOT PLANT USED IN THE TREATMENT OF A TEXTILE RESIDUAL WATER AND SELECTED IN SOLID MEDIUM FOR ITS LATER INSULATION AND IDENTIFICATION. BIOCHEMICAL IDENTIFICATION REACTIONS (API 20E AND COMPLEMENTARY TESTS) INDICATE THAT THE SELECTED SPECIES IS ENTEROBACTER AEROGENES. ITS APPLICATION FOR THE ELIMINATION OF DYES FROM WASTEWATER TEXTILES ALLOWS THE DEGRADATION OF THIS TYPE OF MOLECULES THAT RAISE IMPORTANT ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS.
