Abstract
Submunition area denial. Describes the incorporation of a chronoelectronic system equipped with a movement discriminator as a special characteristic. It is applicable to any system dispensing submunitions (multiple bombs, helicopter dispensers, rockets, land dispensers, etc.) achieving the denial of a specified area for a pre-set time. The movement discrimination system is based on a windows logic, so that on detecting a movement an acquisition window of programmable duration (from 0 to t seconds) is opened up during which the movements received and their duration are determined. On closing the acquisition window, the activation window is opened, of a duration proportional to the acquisition window and to the duration and number of the movements acquired. It has a random time chronoelectronic fuse, which operates between programmable limits (from 0 to t hours), and includes that of non-activation.
