POR MEDIO DE UN CATALIZADOR ZIEGLER ALTAMENTE ACTIVO, DE FORMA ESFERICA A BASE DE UN DIALQUILO DE MAGNESIO, SE PUEDEN OBTENER EN LA POLIMERIZACION DE OLEFINAS ALFA, POLIMERIZADOS DE FORMA ESFERICA. OTRA VENTAJA DEL CATALIZADOR DE ACUERDO CON LA INVENCION RESIDE EN LA ELEVADA ACTIVIDAD DEL CATALIZADOR, DE FORMA QUE SOLO SON NECESARIAS CANTIDADES MUY PEQUEÑAS DEL CATALIZADOR PARA LA POLIMERIZACION. EL CONTENIDO RESIDUAL DE TITANIO Y/O CIRCONIO EN LOS POLIMEROS FABRICADOS DE ACUERDO CON LA INVENCION ASCIENDE A MENOS DE 10 PPM. DEBIDO A SU BUENA REACTIVIDAD AL HIDROGENO, EL CATALIZADOR ES APROPIADO, EN PARTICULAR, EN EL PROCESO DE DOS ETAPAS, PARA LA FABRICACION DE POLIMEROS CON UNA AMPLIA Y BIMODAL DISTRIBUCION DE LAS MASAS MOLARES.
