Abstract

A process for obtaining changes in biological responses with haematopoietic function recovery activity from either of two N2 fixing bacterial strains Azotobacter chroococcum and Azotobacter vinilandii This invention describes the process for obtaining two preparations obtained from pure cultures of selected strains of Azotobacter chroococcum and Azotobacter vinilandii respectively, which have properties which stimulate haematopoietic function. This process comprises growing the corresponding bacterial culture, obtaining an F1 fraction or cell fraction obtained in the supernatant from the culture cells through an acid-base shock treatment, the obtaining of an F2 fraction or exocellular fraction obtained by treatment of the culture supernatant with metal iron, freeze-drying of the two concentration fractions defined by each of these. The preparation so obtained is active in stimulating the activity of the haematopoietic system, and is active when administered orally. It has application for human and veterinary use.
