LAS COMPOSICIONES SURFACTANTES PUEDEN CONTENER COMPUESTOS REDUCTORES DE LA IRRITACION DE LOS OJOS, COMO EL ALQUILFENOL DE POLIOXIALQUILENO SULFATADO, SULFATOS DE ALCOHOL; SULFATOS DE ALCOHOL DE POLIORIALQUILENO; SULFATOS DE MONO LQUILENO ALCOHOL); FOSFATOS DE MONOQUILFENOL); CARBOXILATOS DE ALQUILFENOL DE POLIOXIALQUILENO Y CARBOXILTOS DE POLIORIALQUILENO, ESTOS COMPUESTOS REDUCTORES DE LA IRRITACION EN LOS OJOS CONTIENEN HASTA APROXIMADAMENTE 60 MOLES DE UN GRUPO DE OXIDO ALQUILENO Y SUS GRUPOS DE ALQUILO Y ALCOHOL TIENEN ENTRE 8 Y 20 ATOMOS DE CARBONO APROXIMADAMENTE.
