Abstract

Válvula esférica, con una carcasa, en cuyo interior se halla dispuesto un elemento de cierre, de forma esférica y susceptible de sufrir un movimiento giratorio, colocado entre dos guarniciones de apoyo, dotadas de superficies de apoyo de forma de segmento esférico; y con un paso que atraviesa el citado elemento de cierre y presenta una sección transversal circular, el cual paso permite el flujo de un medio líquido o gaseoso, caracterizada porque este orificio de paso se ensancha según una hendidura, que se extiende sensiblemente perpendicular al eje de giro, en dirección a un corte en forma de "T" y que se prolonga hasta la superficie periférica externa; porque entre las guarniciones de apoyo se halla dispuesta una guarnición adicional, cuyo orificio central está conectado con un escape que conduce al exterior, de la carcasa de válvula; y porque el citado corte en forma de en la posición de cierre de la válvula, desemboca en la guarnición adicional, mientras que esta última está recubiertapor el elemento de cierre cuando la válvula se encuentra en posición de apertura.
