Abstract

An electrical light bulb socket and holder has a main unit (10) that has a screw thread (15) section to receive a bulb and protective sleeve (14) that has projections (33) fitting over a formed lip (32). The main body has an integral curved plate section (24) profiled to fit the unit into the side wall opening of a cylindrical shade. The lower end is formed (13) to provide a pivot mounting onto a stand. Wires are inserted through the hollow section.
