Abstract

The lamp with a glass tube (1) holding a line of miniature lamp bulbs (8) in series connected groups, has the bulbs supported by a strip shaped flexible plastics holder (2) inside the tube. One side of the strip is open, and the other side has hadial outwardly projecting ribs (3,4,5). The tips of the ribs are in contact with the inside of the tube, forming spaces holding the connecting wires (9 to 12). Selected connecting wires (e.g. 9) project form the ends of the tube each using a screwed connection (20) with a plug (16) housed inside an end sleeve (15). A connecting and securing block is secured by screws over the projecting end of each sleeve, retaining a housing (24) for the tube, open one side. Each end of the tube is fitted with an aluminium protective sleeve (17) and a clamping ring (18).
