EL COLECTOR EN CUESTION, REPRESENTADO ESQUEMATICAMENTE EN EL GRAFICO SUPERIOR, NOS REPRESENTA LA COTA "S" EN LA CARA DE ATAQUE, QUE SERA SIEMPRE UN POCO MAYOR QUE 1/2 H, SIENDO H=ALTURA DE LA OLA, CON LO CUAL SOLO EMBARCARA LIQUIDO DENTRO DE EL, CON LA LLEGADA DE LA CRETA DE LA OLA. LA COTA "E", DEBERA SER MAYOR QUE LA ALTURA DE LA OLA, PARA QUE ESTA NO PUEDA REBASAR POR ENCIMA DEL COLECTOR. L.F. ES UNA REFERENCIA A LA LINEA DE FLOTACION DEL BUQUE A MAXIMA CARGA. EL LIQUIDO QUE SE EMBARQUE EN EL COLECTOR, IRA AL TANQUE DE CARGA, A TROVES DE UNAS TOBERAS. ASI PUES, ADOSADOS ESTOS COLECTORES AL COSTADO DEL BUQUE, ESTE APROARA AL VIENTO, Y YA QUE AL TENER DISTINTA DENSIDAD, EL RESIDUO LIQUIDO FLOTANTE ES ARRASTRADO POR EL VIENTO, VARIANDO DE LA ALTURA DE LA OLA, SE VARIARA LA INMERSION DEL COLECTOR POR DEBAJO DE LA LINEA DE FLOTACION EN MAR ENCALMADO, PARA SOLO EMBARCAR LA CRESTA DE LA OLA CON UNA PROPORCION ALTA DE RESIDUO CON RESPECTO AL AGUA.
