The invention relates to an air transfer system, especially for a fire alarm appliance, having an air inlet aperture (8) and an air outlet aperture (10); in order to enable the fire alarm appliance (2) to be arranged behind a wall (14) limiting the room (16) to be monitored, an air distributor (20), having two air ducts (22, 24) passing through the latter from one end to the other is provided. This air distributor (20) makes it possible to connect both the air inlet aperture (8) and the air outlet aperture (10) of the fire alarm appliance (2) to the room to be monitored, so that the function of the fire alarm appliance, in particular that of the fan (6) arranged therein, is not impaired by ambient conditions which differ from the ambient conditions prevailing in the room (16) to be monitored.
