Abstract

The process consists in casting an insert in a first mould, in arranging the insert thus cast in a second mould and in casting the part in this second mould around the insert, so as to form a mechanical link between the two castings. The wear-resisting part thus cast advantageously comprises an insert with a high resistance to wear, whilst the rest of the part is made from a more ductile material which is resistant to mechanical stresses.
