Abstract

The device is formed as a hinge (11) with first and second arms (12a,12b). In one position, the two arms can block each other and in a second position they are adjustable and positionable against each other within a desired plane by a controlled pivotal movement. This pivotal movement is defined with the help of slots (13) and the desired plane is one parallel to the pivotal movement of the hand opposite the underarm. A spherical insert is situated at the free ends of the hinge arms and works together with the ball head on the spacer rods (18,118) on which the holders (30) are located. USE/ADVANTAGE - Correctly positions the broken bones before and during healing. Allows for pivotal movement of the wrist while keeping the bones in position.
