Abstract

System which consists in the use of two wind- powered/electrical units formed by respective wind turbines 7 and 8, individual overdrives 9 and 10, respective asynchronous wound-rotor generators 1 and 2 and respective frequency converters 5 and 6 incorporated between the rotor of the corresponding generator and the supply mains 4, said units being connected together such that they can be connected and disconnected by means of a commutator (switch) 3, enabling both to function independently with high-speed winds and to function in combination with low-speed winds, maintaining the frequency of the energy supplied to the mains 4 constant.
