Abstract

The cooling device is esp. a water/air cooler for IC engines. It has a ribbed tube block (11), between two radiator tanks (12, 13). The outlet-sided tank (13) is integral with an expansion tank (16) of synthetic material, and a first connection conduit (17), extending from the top of that tank, to the base (16') of the expansion tank. A second conduit (22) connects an outlet socket (15) of the outlet sided tank to the expansion tank base. This conduit is formed as a tube (22), installed subsequently. The tube is inserted into an opening (25) of the expansion tank, and extends into the outlet socket. The tube outlet (23) is located in an area of max. flowspeed of the cooling water.
