Abstract

Biological treatment process for urban waste and a plan to put said process into practice consisting in establishing a bank of silos (1), preferably in fours, which are progressively filled with rubbish, taking about two years for each silo. In each one the rubbish is set out in layers that are thinner each time by 20 cm and are maintained level and homogenised; initially red earthworms are sprinkle in the rubbish, in suitable amounts, which are used to transform organic material into humus and maintain an adequate humidity level in the rubbish that is approx. 60%. Furthermore there are farm animals, such as chickens, pheasants, partridges, pigeons etc. whose diet includes small amounts of cereals and other products to compensate for the excessive amounts of protein and dampness coming from the worms. Each silo (1) has a central control tower (6) located over the entrance that also acts as the support for a multitude of radio cables (8) that are connected to a lock network, inside of which there are flying animals and / or a cover canvas to act against the effects of the sun and water.<IMAGE>
