ESTE BIOSENSOR ES APLICABLE, PREFERENTEMENTE, PARA DETERMINAR CUANTITATIVAMENTE LA PRESENCIA DE GLICEROL EN UN MEDIO LIQUIDO, COMO POR EJEMPLO EN LA ADICION DE LAS DENOMINADAS SALSAS AL TABACO DURANTE LA ELABORACION DEL MISMO. ESTE PRODUCTO, LA SALSA, CONTIENE ENTRE SUS COMPONENTES, HUMECTANTES TAL Y COMO GLICEROL Y PROPILENGLICOL, POR LO CUAL ES MUY IMPORTANTE CONTAR CON MEDIOS PARA CONTROLAR SU CONCENTRACION, INCLUSO EN EL PRODUCTO FINAL. EL BIOSENSOR CUENTA CON UNA CAPSULA EN LA QUE SE MANTIENEN ENZIMAS ACTIVAS Y TAL CAPSULA ESTA DOTADA DE UN AGITADOR, ESTANDO CONTROLADA LA TEMPERATURA DE DICHA CAPSULA. LA MUESTRA A ANALIZAR, SE INTRODUCE EN LA CAPSULA, EN UNA CANTIDAD CALIBRADA. EXISTE UN AMPLIFICADOR ASOCIADO A UN ELECTRODO Y TODO ELLO CONECTADO A UN SISTEMA DE TRATAMIENTO DE DATOS.
