Abstract

A known closed container construction made of insulating material, using the layered construction method, for the transport of perishable goods on a commercial vehicle has individual walls with a polyurethane core and an inner skin and an outer skin made of suitable material, wood, sheet metal or the like. For the purpose of required stability, reinforcement ribs, rails, panels or the like are provided, which increase the empty weight of the construction and impair the heat-insulation properties. According to the invention, a self-supporting closed container construction is proposed, the individual walls (3,4,7) of which are likewise constructed to be self-supporting and contain no heat bridges such as according to the state of the art.
