SE HACEN PASAR LOS GASES A TRAVES DE UN LECHO DE CARBON ACTIVADO, EN BASE A HULLA SUB-BITUMINOSA, TRATADA QUIMICAMENTE MEDIANTE IMPREGNACION CON SUSTANCIAS ESPECIFICAS PARA LA ABSORCION DE LOS COMPUESTOS DE PLOMO (COMPUESTO OXIGENADO DE BORO) O DE AZUFRE (TIPO ACIDO DE LEWIS). EL DISPOSITIVO ESTA FORMADO POR UNA CAMARA (1), EN LA QUE QUEDA ALOJADA LA MASA FILTRANTE (2) DE ABSORCION, CON ENTRADA (4) Y SALIDA (5) CONECTADAS A SENDOS CONDUCTOS (6, 7) DE CIRCULACION QUE CONFLUYEN POR SUS EXTREMOS EN LOS DE ENTRADA (8) Y EN LOS DE SALIDA (9) DE LOS GASES CON VALVULAS INTERCALADAS DE INTERCOMUNICACION (10, 11, 12, 13).
