Abstract

Improvements in railways and corresponding track installations for obtaining high speeds, characterised in that these track installations consist of two rails 1, 2 and an intermediate guide 6 which are parallel and equidistant with a suitable configuration so that, in addition to the wheels 5 of the train, three profiled sections 14, 15, 16 connected to the bottom of the latter, fit over and slide on these two rails and this intermediate guide and provide the stability of the train on the track, without this stability relying, as is the case currently, on a greater width of the track and on the maximum straight nature of its path. Advantageously, the existence of the guide 6 and of the profiled section 16 sliding on it makes it possible to give the train more numerous braking elements (brake pads) to supplement the existing ones and to brake the train, which also comprises, under the entrance and exit doors, automatically unfolding benches so that the passengers can get into or out of the train in locations where this door comes to be located at an excessive height.
