Abstract

The machine is provided in order to form braided or smooth wire spirals, which spirals are cut at regular intervals, two straight end tabs being determined in each one of them. Said machine has two displaceable carriages each actuated by the combination of a motor and corresponding pneumatic cylinders, said carriages being aligned with individual heating elements through which the wire to be spiralled passes until it reaches an entrainment head actuated by a brake motor which imparts to it a rotational movement in order to roll the wire up on a mandrel actuated by a pneumatic cylinder, provision having been made for the second carriage, which is capable of facing the head and end of the mandrel to incorporate the corresponding cutting shears, all the mechanical components being controlled in terms of their actuation by a programmable robot.
