Abstract

Currently, brakes for pushchairs have a control located close to the wheels and, when actuated, they adopt two stable positions: a braking position and a release position. The novel device offers a stable braking position and a non-stable release position which has to be maintained by means of continuous action on the control of the device installed close to the handlebar in order to have access thereto whilst the pushchair is being pushed along. The locking elements, coupled to the wheels, are connected to the control by means of mechanical or hydraulic transmission elements and they consist of articulated ratchets pushed by elastic means so that they are coupled in peripheral recesses of the wheel hubs.
